The Men of IMI are a part
of a growing ministry that will
challenge and inspire men, to be
the best that they can be in every
aspect of life. Our purpose is to
arm men with the tools to grow in
their relationship with God, so
we can learn how to focus on being
caring fathers, kind husbands, servant
leaders, worshippers and students
of the Word. This group exists to
address these challenges and help
you to be all that God wants you
to be.

Women's Ministry
Our women’s ministry seeks to
strengthen women in their walk with
god, to equip them for an abundant
life and help them become all that
they are destined to be. We are here
to create a strong bond of sisterhood
and solidarity within the family of
the IMI. We want to enhance spiritual
growth by fellowship and communication
with one another, to assist women
in understanding their position as
vital parts of God in the Body of
Christ, at home, on the job, and in
the community. We want to promote
an atmosphere where we can strive
after the goal of knowing God better
and finding out His will for our lives.
We accomplish this through a variety
of fellowships, allowing all types
of women, with all types of schedules
to get connected.

Mother's Board
A group of women viewed as Elders
because of their wisdom derived
from years of living a Christian
life. They are dedicated to maintaining
the sanctity of the preparation
of the Holy Communion and instructing
young girls in the virtues of Christian
Women.

New Members Department
The purpose is to assist new members
in becoming oriented into the Church
family. The goal of this ministry
is to move persons from believing
to belonging, by aiding them in
moving from attending church to
being alive in the church. Classes
are developed all members - old
& new.

Youth Ministry
Here at Interstate Ministries, we
take children and ministering to
them very seriously. We believe
that children are the church of
today! Therefore, we make knowing
Jesus and the Bible our focus when
ministering to your child. Here
at Interstate Ministries, children
have the opportunity to discover
Jesus' unconditional love for them
through Bible lessons, crafts, games,
and lots of FUN!

Music & Worship
Our praise & worship team consists
of individuals who sacrificially
give of their time and talents to
lead you into God's presence and
lift you in your spirit. We believe
that worship is a conversation put
to music as we sing to God in thanksgiving
and praises. Under the direction
of Aarik Duncan, the worship team
prayerfully plans and coordinates
songs that communicate the awesome
character of our God. Although primarily
contemporary in style, we incorporate
historic hymns that depict our rich
heritage in exalting God's beauty
and glory as we enter into a direct
encounter with the living God through
song.

Greeters & Ushers
Interstate Ministries prides itself
on being a friendly and inviting
church. This team helps those who
attend IMI services feel like they
are home once they are inside our
building. From outdoor greeters
to indoor greeters to folks helping
others find a seat in the worship
center, this team helps set the
stage for our Sunday morning worship
experience.

Prayer Ministry
God listens and responds
to the prayer of his people. Our
weekly prayer meetings are exciting
times, when we come together to
pray – for the church, the
city, and our nation as well. Through
praise, worship and prayer, this
is a special time that our church
body comes together to pray and
seek God corporately. You are invited
to join us as we pray specifically
for the Lord to give vision, guidance
and protection for Pastor Jenkins,
the church service, and our church
body. Our God is so faithful and
He will do “exceedingly abundantly
above all that we ask or think".

Missions & Outreach -
Destined to be the World’s
Greatest Mission Ministry!
We as a church are committed to
Jesus' call to go into all the world
and make disciples. Interstate Ministries
is a mission ministry which has,
in just a few years of ministry,
given over $40,000+ to communities
in the surrounding areas as well
as it’s own members. Interstate
Ministries deposits one tenth of
its donations received from tithes
and offerings directly into its
mission account. Thanks to our members
and partners, our missions department
has been able to distribute its
contributions with enthusiasm and
great responsibility.
Health & Wellness Ministry
There is an exciting new ministry
taking shape at Interstate Ministries.
In an effort to be more intentionally
a part of Jesus’ ministry
of healing and wholeness, we have
started a Health Ministry. Health
Ministry focuses on health promotion
within the context of the values,
beliefs and practices of a faith
community.
The Health Ministry, lead by Sis.
Gail Bryant, has met to explore
how the church can be involved in
caring for the whole person—body,
mind and spirit. We have come to
understand that Health Ministry
is one response that a church can
make in attempting to reclaim its
place in healthcare and to insure
that faith and hope continue for
those in need of our care. With
a health ministry program, faith
communities can become places where
people are encouraged and supported
in their efforts to lead healthy
lives.
